A pair of LSU linebackers are on the preseason watch list for the 2020 Butkus Award.
LSU's Damone Clark and Jabril Cox were among 50 names selected yesterday as players to watch for the award, which goes annually to the nation's best linebacker.
Last season as a mostly depth player, Clark finished sixth on the team in tackles while Cox will be in his first season with the Tigers after transferring in from North Dakota State.
First given out in 1985, the Butkus Award has been won once by LSU with Devin White taking it home in 2018.
