Louisiana's COVID-19 Case Count, Deaths & Hospitalizations Continue To Rise

The number of reported COVID-19 cases in Louisiana continued to rise Friday after the Louisiana Department of Health added 2,142 to the state's running total.

"The collection dates for most of these cases fall between July 17, 2020 and July 24, 2020," tweeted LDH. "89% of the cases reported to the state today were community spread."

The state now has reported 103,734 cases since the beginning of the pandemic.

The number of patients hospitalized due to COVID-19 increased by 15 to 1,600 with 197 on ventilators.

The death toll rose by 30 to 3,604.
