St. Tammany Schools Will Delay Start Of Classes To After Labor Day

St. Tammany Parish is delaying the start to their upcoming school year.

The schedule change comes in light of the recent surge in COVID-19 cases in the state.

As a result, there will be fewer holidays for the district of 40,000 students

The first regular day of school will begin on September 14 and students will have to be screened before attending school.

Students pre-K through five will attend class every day. Those in grades 6 through 12 will attend two days a week and every other Friday for in-person learning.
