The National Hurricane Center warned Wednesday morning that Tropical Storm Isaias was producing "life-threatening" flash flooding and gusty winds over Puerto Rico, with those heavy rains and gusty winds also spreading over the Dominican Republic.

As of the 10 a.m. CDT advisory, Isaias was moving quickly northwest at 20 miles per hour with maximum sustained winds of 60 miles per hour.

The latest track of Isaias continued a shift to the east, and the storm's future course could take it near or over the Florida peninsula, where the NHC said watches could be posted later on Wednesday.

However, forecasters also noted low confidence in the track forecast due to expected land interaction. The intensity forecast, which for now keeps Isaias' top-end at a strong tropical storm, was described as "challenging".

As it stands now, Louisiana would not be impacted by Isaias.
