Ochsner Discovery School in Kenner says the entire first grade class has been asked to quarantine after a student tested positive for COVID-19.

School officials confirmed yesterday that 75 students and six teachers are now being isolated for two weeks as a precaution in case they were exposed to the virus.

Head of School Dr. Patty Glaser said a student tested positive last Monday and was known to have come into contact with at least six others at the school.

Two middle school students who are siblings also tested positive but did not have enough contact with others to warrant more quarantines.
