Officials say the remains of the last of three workers killed during the Hard Rock Hotel Collapse in October 2019 have been recovered.

The City of New Orleans announced Monday afternoon that Jose Ponce Arreola's body had been removed from the debris of the deck area of the hotel.

Crews had been laboring for weeks to recover the bodies of both Arreola and Quinnyon Wimberly, who was on the eleventh floor when the accident happened.

Wimberly's body was recovered last week, and with Arreola's remains now removed, the demolition of the rest of the hotel is expected to continue at a faster pace.
