The Louisiana Department of Health reported an additional 889 COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the state's running total of cases since the pandemic began to 167,401.
As of this week, there are 154,163 presumed recovered from the coronavirus in Louisiana.
State health officials said the death count increased by 26 to 5,355.
Hospitalizations ticked up by two to 536, while the number of patients on ventilators was down one to 74.
