Officials say they believe they have found the body of a Houma area man who was reported missing 22 years ago.

According to a bulletin released yesterday, experts are working to identify the possible remains of Shannon Harris, who disappeared in 1998 on his way to art school in Dallas.

Police say they were led to the body by 47-year-old Stanley Briggs, who revealed the location while being treated for a drug reaction.

Briggs is now facing a charge of second-degree murder, and the LSU FACES Laboratory is working on making an identification.
