The billionaire owner of the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans is shaken up but okay after an attempted carjacking at about 2:00 a.m. Friday near the campus of Tulane University.
According to a police report, a white pickup truck pulled up next to Gayle Benson's car. One of the suspects got out, jumped into her car and demanded she get out.
The suspect apparently got spooked and ran away.
In a statement, the team says that while she was very shaken at the time, Benson was unharmed and is doing fine.
