Lake Charles Evacuees Asked To Leave Hotel Rooms By Red Cross

Many Lake Charles evacuees are showing up to the Morial Convention Center after being told by the Red Cross they have to leave their hotel rooms.

Several evacuees say they have nowhere to go because their homes were destroyed or damaged due to the recent hurricanes.

Some people were told they have to leave as early as tomorrow.

For more than a month, many evacuees have been living at hotels in New Orleans paid for by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Red Cross.

Without this support, some of them have no home to go back to.
