A former St. John the Baptist Parish judge convicted of sex crimes is heading to prison after being sentenced yesterday.

Officials say former Judge Jeff Perilloux was given a 14-year sentence for three counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile and one misdemeanor count of sexual battery.

Prosecutors said Perilloux's three victims were between the ages of 14 and 17 when the crimes were committed.

Perilloux was running for re-election as a Judge of the 40th District Court when he was found guilty and later stepped down from the bench.
