The Funky Uptown Krewe is joining other krewes in postponing their parade events next year due to COVID-19.
Representatives from the Funky Uptown Krewe announced yesterday it would not ride on the streetcar line on Twelfth Night at the beginning of the 2021 Carnival season.
Instead, the krewe will join others by holding an alternate event in place of its parade with a special scavenger hunt.
The krewe said it would hide bedazzled vinyl records along the St. Charles streetcar line on Twelfth Night with clues to locations to be revealed closer to Mardi Gras.
