The Louisiana Department of Health reported an additional 2,774 COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the total number of cases since the pandemic began to 244,078.
Of those cases, 230,029 are confirmed and 14,049 are considered probable.
The death toll from the coronavirus increased by 23 to 6,524. Hospitalizations rose by 37 to 1,325 with 142 patients on ventilators, up eight from Wednesday.
