The Louisiana Department of Health reported an additional 2,429 COVID-19 cases Tuesday to bring the total number of coronavirus cases since the pandemic began to 254,562.
Of that number, LDH says 238,676 are confirmed cases while 15,886 are considered probable.
Hospitalizations jumped by 93 to 1,516 with 165 patients on ventilators, an increase of four.
The death count from COVID-19 in the state was up 45 to 6,652.
