Almost 90,000 delayed doses of the coronavirus vaccine have finally made their way to Louisiana.

Dr. Joseph Kanter with the Louisiana Department of Health said the delay was due to the severe winter weather that took place over the past week.

Kanter said he expects by tomorrow the state will be caught up on vaccine shipments.

However, now the state needs to get caught up on rescheduled appointments due to last week's delay.

Appointments are expected to be rescheduled later this week and the beginning of next week.
