The Louisiana Department of Health reported an additional 577 COVID-19 cases Wednesday. The running total number of reported cases stood at 435,514.
The death toll rose by 43 to 9,812.
Hospitalizations fell by 13 to 530 with 69 patients on ventilators, six lower than Tuesday.
There are now 420,459 presumed recovered from COVID-19 statewide as of March 8, an increase of 4,505 from last week.
