Federal authorities say they are looking into violations of Title IX requirements regarding complaints of sexual misconduct at LSU.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Education confirmed that its Office for Civil Rights is investigating the University.

The review comes after associate athletic director Sharon Lewis went public with claims of racist and degrading policies in the department.

Most of the allegations against the Athletic Department happened under the tenure of former LSU football coach Les Miles.
