New Orleans' leaders are warning of rolling back restrictions with the increase of the delta variant.
During a news conference yesterday, Beau Tidwell, a spokesperson for Mayor LaToya Cantrell, said if New Orleanians aren't more careful, things could go "back to square one."
Dr. Jennifer Avegno, director of the New Orleans Heath Department, said mask mandates may be necessary for unvaccinated people to attend big events.
Avegno also warned that another lockdown is possible if the vaccines are less effective to future mutations of the coronavirus.
