Former LSU swimmer Brooks Curry is celebrating after winning a gold medal for Team USA in the 4x100-meter freestyle relay.

Curry swam in the prelims for the U.S. relay team with Blake Pieroni, Zach Apple, and Bowen Becker to help qualify for the final race.

Curry was replaced by Caeleb Dressel in the finals, who anchored the squad to a win and then gave his gold medal to Curry after the podium ceremony.

Curry will receive his own medal later since every member of the winning team gets a medal regardless of which round they swim in.
