The New Orleans Saints are preparing to be without All-Pro wide receiver Michael Thomas who is expected to miss the start of the season.
Team sources said yesterday that Thomas underwent surgery in June to repair ligaments in his ankle and will need four months to recover.
NFL insiders say Thomas will be put on the Physically Unable to Perform list, meaning the earliest he would be back is around Week Seven of the season against Seattle.
