U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana is warning that the rise in COVID-19 cases will hurt the state's economy.

Cassidy spoke yesterday after Louisiana reported over 6,700 new cases of the virus, saying the increase will drive away tourists and their wallets.

Cassidy said businesses and other institutions requiring workers to get vaccinated against certain illnesses are not new and commonly done.

Cassidy said he has spoken with the FDA on when vaccines will get full approval but no timeline is available.
