New Orleans officials say they are not ready to begin canceling or rescheduling upcoming fall music events because of increased COVID-19 cases.
City spokesperson Beau Tidwell said Tuesday that the city is monitoring the situation closely because the rise in cases is causing concern.
Tidwell also thanked local venues and restaurants that have started asking for proof of vaccination before entry.
At the end of July, Tipitina's, d.b.a. and Maple Leaf Bar all announced they would ask for proof of vaccination.
