A New Orleans man who was critically injured in Texas during a shooting that killed an off-duty NOPD officer is in a medically induced coma.

Doctors said yesterday that D.J. Riculfy, Sr. was wounded on Sunday at a restaurant in Houston in a shooting that claimed the life of his fellow Krewe of Zulu brother and NOPD officer Everett Briscoe.

Officials say Riculfy was shot in the head and is currently in critical but stable condition.

A reward of $10,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of two suspects wanted in the shooting.
