Louisiana Native Hayley Arceneaux Blasts Off For Orbit

A Baton Rouge native is in orbit today after the latest SpaceX launch.

Hayley Arceneaux is one of four civilian crew members on board, along with a businessman, a geoscientist, and an aerospace industry worker.

At 29 years old, Arceneaux is the youngest American ever to fly in space

She's also the first pediatric cancer survivor in space, as well as the first non-professional astronaut with a prosthetic leg

Inspiration 4 blasted off on Wednesday evening for a three-day trip 357 miles above the Earth's surface.
