New Orleans City Council is expected to have some tough questions for Entergy at today's meeting.
Entergy is suggesting four alternatives to its Entergy New Orleans operations, including a possible sale.
The company announced on Tuesday a potential sale would allow the City Council to retain regulatory control over rates.
Entergy could also merge its New Orleans and Louisiana operations, spin off Entergy New Orleans into its own company, or have the city run the utility itself.
Entergy was criticized for its handling of power outages after Hurricane Ida that left New Orleans in the dark for days.
