A New Orleans-based federal appeals court is upholding its decision to stop the Biden administration's enforcement of the vaccine mandate for larger U.S. companies.

Louisiana and other states had challenged the order.

On Friday, the Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals agreed with the opponents of the mandate, who call it illegal.

The court's ruling temporarily blocks the vaccine mandate, and says the administration can't take any more steps to enforce the order.

It also questions the mandate's legality and constitutionality.
