State health officials are reporting that the number of coronavirus hospitalizations in Louisiana is now lower than ever.
When the Louisiana Department of Health first reported the state's number of coronavirus hospitalizations in March 2020, there were 271 patients hospitalized with the virus.
On Monday, coronavirus hospitalizations in Louisiana dropped to 196 patients.
About three months ago, the state's pandemic hospitalization number topped out at 3,022.
