As of Tuesday, NOLA Public Schools is adding the coronavirus vaccine to the list of required immunizations for students ages five and up.
Hundreds of kids were vaccinated on Saturday at L.B. Landry High School in order to meet the requirement.
The City of New Orleans' vaccine mandate also requires everybody age five and up to be fully vaccinated in order to be allowed into restaurants and other businesses.
