The Pelicans are signing Jose Alvarado to a four-year deal.
The team announced on Monday that they reached a deal with Alvarado, who is an undrafted point guard out of Georgia Tech.
Alvarado spent most of the first half of the season as a two-way player, dividing his time between the Pelicans and the Birmingham Squadron in the G-League.
He was able to get more playing time with the Pelicans as a result of injuries at the guard position.
