Three tax service workers are accused of using customers' tax forms to defraud a disaster relief program following Hurricane Ida.

Johnnie Mae Ricard, Erica Williams, and Starr Carbo are charged with submitting fraudulent forms to receive refunds through a program offering sales tax refunds for personal property destroyed by a natural disaster.

The Louisiana Department of Revenue says the three women submitted sales tax forms that included false information and overstated the value of property losses.

Clients told investigators they didn't provide the bogus information that was submitted on their returns.
