The Department of Transportation and Development says Hurricane Francine didn't damage the new lights on the Crescent City Connection.

Half of the $20 million lighting project went dark at the peak of the storm. Late last week, a contractor found that Francine tripped some breakers, which have been reset.

The project is scheduled for completion early next year, in time for New Orleans to host the Super Bowl in February.

The lights can change into different colors and patterns, adding a festive touch to the occasion.
