A Louisiana man could be going to prison for lying about where he caught a fish.

Jody Jeane is accused of catching the bass in Vernon Lake and then submitting it the Toledo Bend Lake Association for an award.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries says their agents were there when the catch was made, and Jeane bragged about it.

They later spotted the fish on a social media post because of it's distinct markings.

Jeane is charged with forgery and, if found guilty, faces ten years in prison.
