The National Hurricane Center is watching a "complex, non-tropical area of low pressure" off the coast of North Carolina for further development.
Forecasters are giving the low a small chance of developing tropical characteristics as it moves west or northwest over the next few days.
Elsewhere, the tropics remain quiet.
