I don't usually watch Realtime With Bill Maher but the recently stumbled across an episode of the show while channel surfing (yes, I'm one of the few people who stills had cable).
When I landed on the show I couldn't believe my eyes and ears.
Maher was interview Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. The two were discussing Virginia Governor Ralph Northam, a Democrat who won't step down after photos of him wearing black face recently surfaced in his old medical school yearbook.
In the interview Rahm Emanuel calls Northam "the greatest civil rights leader" and, rather than openly mock Emanuel for making the suggestion, Bill Maher nods in agreement while the audience applauds.
Here's a video of an HBO audience cheering for blackfaced "civil rights fighter" Ralph Northam. Unbelievable.
