Demand for gasoline remains high in Louisiana and the rest of the U.S. And, that will likely mean drivers will be shelling out even more for a fill up this week.
AAA reports the average price of regular in the Pelican State is up 16 cents from a month ago to around $2.52 a gallon. It's averaging $2.50 in New Orleans.
This time last year, the fuel was 32 cents cheaper.
