The new mayor of Slidell will be Greg Cromer.
In voting Saturday, the ex-city councilman narrowly won election over former St. Tammany Parish president Kevin Davis.
The margin of victory was 80 votes. Davis doesn't plan to contest the results.
Cromer will take over for Freddy Drennan who was term-limited from seeking reelection.
