Voters could be deciding if fantasy sports should be legalized on the November 6th ballot.
The measure now will move to Governor John Bel Edwards desk for approval after the Senate passed House Bill 484, which would allow each parish to approve fantasy sports gambling platforms like DraftKings and FanDuel.
If a parish votes against it, people couldn't legally play the games while in that area.
Officials say if the measure is passed, additional legislation will be needed to figure out how to regulate and tax the games.
