The gas price picture in Louisiana isn't getting any better.
Drivers are now shelling out about 45 cents more for a gallon of regular compared to a year ago. AAA reports the statewide average price of the fuel is now in the ballpark of $2.58 a gallon, up three cents in a week's time and 12 cents higher than a month ago.
Experts say crude oil inventories are in decline and President Trump's decision to abandon the Iran nuclear agreement is helping fuel crude price increases.
