St. Bernard Parish have issued a boil water advisory for residents in the Violet area due to a broken water line.
The advisory in in effect for the following areas:
- East of the Violet Canal to “C” Street
- North of East St. Bernard Hwy. to Fourth Street
- The river-side of St. Bernard Hwy. from the Violet Canal East to River Queen Drive
Officials do not believe there is any problem with the water. They call the advisory a precautionary measure in line with state guidelines.
The advisory is expected to be in effect for 24 to 48 hours.
