Cornerback Derek Stingley Jr., ranked as the 67th-best prospect in the Class of 2019 by one national rating system, committed to LSU.
The 6-foot-1, 193-pound cornerback at Dunham High in Baton Rouge, chose the Tigers over Florida and Texas.
Coach Ed Orgeron already has received a commitment from tackle Kardell Thomas, the No. 2-ranked player in Louisiana, who plays at Southern University Lab.
Stingley is the third top cornerback in the class to commit to the Tigers, joining ESPN 300 pick Maurice Hampton of Memphis University School in Memphis, Tenn., and four-star prospect Marcus Banks of Andy Dekaney High in Houston.
