A panel of state lawmakers is turning thumbs-down on two similar proposals seeking a feasibility study for holding a constitutional convention to address Louisiana's money woes.
In both instances, the House and Governmental Affairs Committee rejected the resolutions on three-to-three votes.
Supporters, including the governor, say a re-write of the Louisiana Constitution could address the apparent flawed way that the state collects and spends taxpayer dollars.
