Interstate 55 near Amite was closed Monday afternoon after two people were shot near Amite.
Reports say the shooting happened shortly after 2 p.m. near Highway 16.
About an hour later, authorities reopened the northbound lanes of I-55. Louisiana State Police and the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office are investigating.
