If you want to know how the state is spending your tax money and other revenue there's now a more transparent way to find out.
The state has updated a website that's now known as Louisiana Checkbook that offers details about the state's allocations of funds to various departments and for multiple years.
The changes were approved during this year's second special session on the budget and went live Monday.
