Federal authorities say a New Orleans native who allegedly embezzled nearly a half-million dollars from the company that makes Crystal Hot Sauce is headed to prison.
Wayne Soniat pleaded guilty to wire fraud and falsifying income tax returns, and according to the U.S. Attorney's Office, has been sentenced to 15 months in prison.
He'll also have to repay the stolen funds to Baumer Foods.
