An investigation is underway into a trooper-involved shooting in Slidell Thursday.
A state police spokesman says the trooper opened fire on an Oklahoma fugitive armed with a knife when he exited a home and bolted toward members of a U.S. Marshal's task force attempting to serve federal armed robbery warrants.
The suspect, 22-year-old Devon Thomas, was not hit by gunfire but did suffer minor injuries.
