The American Red Cross of Louisiana says there is a need for blood donations of all types.
Every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood and Red Cross officials around the country are dealing with many challenges, including natural disasters.
The Louisiana region serves over 4.5 million residents in the 64 parishes in the state.
