Gas prices are heading higher across the Pelican State.
At midweek, AAA reports the statewide average price of regular has climbed to $2.60 a gallon, up two cents from last Wednesday. The travel group says the increases come as gasoline supplies dwindle.
A year ago, the average price of regular in Louisiana was $2.09.
