He's fired.
That's the word from the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office concerning Deputy Brian Green, who has been under investigation for his ties to the far-right group Proud Boys.
Green's termination was announced Thursday following a week-long probe triggered by a complaint of his involvement with the group.
He's accused of promoting his ties to Proud Boys online on a social media page while in uniform, something the sheriff says "inevitably affected" the public trust in him as a deputy.
