They've been high all summer and they're still high, but gas prices across Louisiana are edging slightly lower as Labor Day weekend nears.
AAA reports the statewide average price of regular has fallen to $2.59 a gallon. But, that's down only a penny compared to last Monday.
Drivers are currently paying about 45 cents more per gallon for the fuel than they were a year ago.
