No serious injuries are reported after the floor of a 93-year-old church gave way during a funeral service over the weekend in Hammond.
The Daily Star reports the termite-infested flooring collapsed Saturday at Greater St. James AME Church, beams breaking under the weight of those gathered.
As many as a dozen people were pulled from the rubble, with at least two taken to the hospital for treatment of what were believed to be minor injuries.
